Lomo adventures #1

Πριν μερικές μέρες εμφάνισα τα φιλμ που τράβηξα στο Κίεβο - και για πρώτη φορά κατάφερα να πετύχω καλή ποιότητα με την Diana! Βέβαια δεν είμαι 100% ευχαριστημένη με το scannάρισμα που μου κάνανε... και στα δύο φιλμ υπάρχουν μπλε λωρίδες σε όλη την έκταση των φωτογραφιών.. και αναρωτιέμαι τι να ευθύνεται για αυτό.

Vor einigen Tagen habe ich zwei Rolle Film entwickeln lassen, die ich in Kiev gedreht hat. Und das war das erste Mal, dass ich mit Diana gute Qualität bekommen hat! Ich bin natürlich nicht 100% zufrieden, denn das Scanning ist nicht so gut - alle zwei Rolle Film haben blaue Streifen-überall auf den Fotos.

Kiev - the remaining days

And this will be the last post about Kiev, about the 3 last days I spent there, and the way back.

Ukrainian Easter holidays.. in the village. Part 2.

And the fun continues on Sunday. There were some activities on that day that I quite enjoyed. First, I took out my Diana and started taking pictures of the animals and the area around the house. Everything was very beautiful - if one didn't pay attention to the mud that was literally everywhere - and that almost destroyed my unsuitable shoes.

Ukrainian Easter holidays.. in the village. Part 1.

And now it's Easter's turn. This year I spend the holidays not the Greek way, but the traditional Ukraine way, in a typical Ukraine village. Named Bogdanivka.

And it was a nice change.

NBEC closing day

Friday is quite a simple day - it's NBEC closing day. I had the pleasure to be one of the judges on the debating between the Case Study teams that were participating, so one can say that in a small way, I affected the outcomes of one of the two parts of the Engineering Competition.

Kiev - the city center

Today is city rally day. In the company of my awesome tour guide and other 3 Ukrainians we are ready to discover the beauties of Kiev. Or maybe I should say, of the enormous city center.

Kiev - first impressions

The first day is quite halara time. I joined the BESTies from LBG Kiev in their national EBEC, organised in the University. Met some friends I had a long time to see and a lot of new interesting people.

One of my friends took me to a small tour around the University grounds - she told me about the history and structure of the place. Unfortunately, I cannot recall all the details, but there are some things that I remember vividly.

about 6:30pm:
While arriving at the city centre:

1st thought: "Oh shit, I forgot my sunglasses."
2nd thought: "Hell Yeah! Bikes! A lot of them, everywhere!" (which of course made me extremely jealous for not having my own..)

And the journey begins..

Αυτή τη στιγμή βρίσκομαι στο αεροδρόμιο στην Αθήνα, και ναι, καλά μαντέψατε, περιμένω πτήση! Αύριο πρωί πρωί θα βρίσκομαι στο Μόναχο για μια μέρα, και από το βράδυ Κίεβο, όπου θα περάσω και το Πάσχα.

In diesem Moment bin ich im Flughafen in Athen, und ja, ihr habt es gut verstanden, ich warte auf einen Flug! Morgen früh werde ich Münich für einen Tag sein und dann am Abend im Kiev, wo ich die Osternferien verbringen werde.

Weihnachtsgeschenke

Αυτές τις γιορτές, έφτιαξα χριστουγεννιάτικα δώρα - κάτι που φαντάζομαι κάνουν οι περισσότερες πλέκτριες, αλλά κάτι που συνήθιζα να αποφεύγω για χρόνια.. (εκτός βέβαια από μικρά πράγματα)

In den Weihnachtsferien habe ich geschafft, etwas, dass ich für Jahren lang vermeidet habe, ein Paar Geschenke zu stricken. (hier spreche ich nicht über kleine Sachen)
